  • Collection, sorting, valorization, processing, recovery and reprocessing of both hazardous and non-hazardous materials from households, businesses, shipbreaking, industrial sites, dumpsites and elsewhere, as well as the conversion of these into original or new products, materials, substances or energy. It comprises a highly heterogeneous and diverse range of activities across all sectors of the economy, from manual waste-picking to the collection and recovery of waste and all the way to digitally enabled industrial symbiosis in the pharmaceutical industry.
