- L'économie informelle fait partie de l'économie de marché dans la mesure où elle produit des biens et des services (légaux) à des fins de vente ou autres formes de rémunération. Elle inclut l'emploi informel à la fois dans les entreprises non structurées (petites entreprises non enregistrées ou non inscrites au registre du commerce) et hors des entreprises non structurées. Les entrepreneurs et les travailleurs informels ont en commun de n'être ni reconnus ni protégés à l'intérieur des cadres juridiques et réglementaires existants. L'économie informelle exclut l'économie criminelle et l'économie de reproduction ou de soins.

- La economía informal forma parte de la economía de mercado porque produce bienes (legales) y servicios para ser vendidos o por los que se recibe otro tipo de remuneración. Abarca el trabajo informal tanto en empresas informales (empresas pequeñas no registradas) como fuera de ellas. Los empresarios y los trabajadores informales comparten una característica importante: no están reconocidos o protegidos por marcos legales y normativos. La economía informal no incluye a la economía criminal ni a la economía reproductiva o de los cuidados.

- The informal economy forms part of the market economy in that it produces (legal) goods and services for sale or other form of remuneration. It covers informal employment both in informal enterprises (small unregistered or unincorporated enterprises), and outside informal enterprises. Informal entrepreneurs and workers share one important characteristic: they are not recognized or protected under existing legal and regulatory frameworks. The informal economy excludes the criminal economy and the reproductive or care economy.
