- Constituée le 1er novembre 2006 à partir de la fusion de la Confédération internationale des syndicats libres (CISL), la Confédération mondiale du travail (CMT) et huit autres organisations. Le Congrès de fondation de la CSI s’est tenu à Vienne et a été précédé par les Congrès de dissolution de la CISL et de la CMT.

El Congreso de Fundación de la CSI tuvo lugar en Viena y fue precedido por los congresos de disolución de la CIOSL y de la CMT.

- Formed on November 1, 2006 from the merger of the International Confederation of Free Trade Unions (ICFTU), the World Confederation of Labour (WCL) and eight other organizations. The Founding Congress of the ITUC was held in Vienna and was preceded by the dissolution congresses of both the ICFTU and the WCL.
